Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino hailed his side’s ‘complete’ performance as they beat West Ham United.

Pochettino watched his side put four past the east London club thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Toby Alderweireld and Kyle Walker.

“For sure it was one of the best performances of the season, we are very proud of our players, it was very positive.

“You can feel from the touchline how the players believe in the way we play.”

Spurs have now gone 12 games unbeaten, they longest run in the Premier League.

But the Tottenham Hotspur boss played down any talks of winning the title.

He said: “It is early to speak about that, we are very young and we need to develop our way and be consistent.

“We have shown consistency but to try and win the title we might need more. We cannot stop, we must keep improving.

“We have quality enough, but football is about a lot things that you need to manage. We are in a process because today was a complete performance.

Dele Alli picked up his fifth booking of the season and will miss Tottenham’s crunch match against Chelsea next week after clashing with Mark Noble at 3-0 up.

He said: “He is young, he has played 10 games in the Premier League at 19 and last week he was with the international squad, there is a lot of things in his head.

“We need to stay calm with him. He has a strong character. Football is an experience and next time he will be more relaxed.

Spurs travel to Azerbaijan to face Qarabag in the Europa League before lining up against Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea at White Hart Lane.
