Haringey Borough returned to the top of the Essex Senior League after easing to a 5-0 home win over Newham.
Walid Matata added another two goals, which took the league’s top scorer’s tally for the season to ten.
Matata opened the scoring after just eight minutes before Rakim Richards doubled their advantage.
The third goal came at the end of the first half when Matata added his second from the penalty spot. There was no let up from Boro in the second period and it was 4-0 when Anthony McDonald found the net.
The final goal came in the 79th minute through Darrell Cox.
It puts them three points clear of unbeaten FC Romania at the top of the league.
The club’s decision to offer free entry as part of Non-League Day paid off with more than 100 attending the game.
