Children at three schools have taken part in a sculpture project to promote “collective power of a community.”

Units of Power, a project run by the Children & the Arts and The Saatchi Gallery, involved Northumberland Park Community School, St Paul's and All Hallows Primary School and Risley Avenue Primary School.

The pupils worked together to create sculptures to go on display at their schools, where they will remain on display until Christmas.

During the project they visited artistic hotspots across London, including the Saatchi Gallery and the Olympic Park, in order to come up with their ideas.

Sam Gould, a teacher at St. Paul's and All Hallows, said: "The project has been an incredible learning experience for everyone involved. The guidance and sense of the children's natural creativity enabled them to flourish as young artists.

“The children enjoyed having the opportunity to create and engage with contemporary artwork inside and outside the classroom. Building their own sculpture and sharing it with a wider audience will be something which they will always remember."
