A SHOPPING centre is encouraging young people to care about the environment by creating a “rubbish” design.
The Mall Wood Green has launched a competition for school children under 15-years-old to decorate the waste bins at the site.
The winning design will be unveiled on June 5, which is also World Environmental Day and the pupil will win a new bike, along with £350 for their school.
Isaiah Fapuro, marketing manager at The Mall, said: “We really care about the environment and believe small things make a big difference.
“With the help of our younger shoppers and local schools, we hope to find a fantastic eye-catching design for our bins to encourage their use in-centre.”
The competition is open until May 6 and entries can be handed in at the mall, posted or emailed to: Isaiah.fapuro@themall.co.uk
