Four gang members who dealt drugs in Tottenham have been jailed.

The men were jailed at Wood Green Crown Court for a combined term of five years, five months.

They are all suspected gang members, and were arrested earlier this year. Police said they believed the men were also involved in youth violence and knife crime.

Kazuka Warren, 35 from Maury Road, Stoke Newington, was sentenced to two years and four months for supplying cocaine, while Shabazz Gooden, 18 from Waltham Way, Chingford, received one year and four months for the same crime.

Hassan Tavsanci, 26 of no fixed abode, was jailed for one year and three months for his involvement in dealing Class A and B drugs, and 20-year-old Croydon resident Derick Agyeman had his six month sentence for dealing cannabis suspended for one year.

Haringey Borough DCI Paul Trevers said: “This result should send out a strong signal to those involved in blighting communities with drug dealing that we are watching them and will not tolerate this activity.

“We have a simple message to gang members: if you want to change we will help you; if you don't, we will challenge you through enforcement.”

The police arrested the men in May as they attempt to clamp down on drug dealers in Tottenham.
