Haringey under-12s have been crowned kings of London after an FA Cup win.
The boys from schools across the borough smashed Waltham Forest 5-1 in the final of the London Schools FA Cup to claim the Thomas Pear Trophy.
Haringey schools football co-ordinator Tim Aleshe said: “It was awesome, we played against a team full of academy players who were confident of beating us and the boys pulled it off.
“It was a good game and the lads played with heart and pride in representing their borough.”
The squad of 14 schoolboys contained four players on the books at Arsenal and Leyton Orient youth academies.
Photographer Maxim Garcha, who’s son Theo played at right back for the cup winners, said: “As someone who attended school and grew up in Haringey I was very proud to watch my son play for this borough.
“The game was played to an extremely high level and in a very sporting way with the highest level of sportsmanship, the borough should be proud to see such individuals playing for Haringey.”
The team will be celebrating their success at the executive lounge at White Hart Lane stadium this Friday and the boys will now go and represent London in the National Schools FA Cup later this year.
