The family behind a metalwork company say they are still considering their options after losing their High Court battle against Tottenham Hotspur.

A judge at the Royal Courts of Justice dismissed an appeal from Archway Sheet Metal Works against a compulsory purchase order by the Premier League side forcing the firm to sell its land and premises.

Archway is the last obstacle in the club's protracted fight to build a new 60,000 seater stadium on and around the current site in White Hart Lane.

Judge Mr Justice Dove dismissed both grounds of appeal put forward on behalf of the company that the making of the CPO by the council was legally invalid and that Spurs had not satisfied the conditions of planning consent.

The Josif family, who own Archway Sheet Metal Works, have only stated that they “are disappointed with the decision” and “considering our options” but would not be drawn on whether they would make an appeal.

At the high court the judge refused an application from Archway to appeal against his decision but can still take their case to the Court of Appeal.
