Neighbourhood crimes have fallen over the last 18 months, police say.

The Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) set police forces the target of reducing seven crimes, including burglary, vandalism, theft of motor vehicles, violence with injury, robbery and theft from the person.

Thanks to a doubling of neighbourhood police officers, MOPAC crimes have fallen from the 15686 incidents measured between April 2011 and March 2012 to 12791 measured between December 2013 and December 2014.

Borough commander Victor Olisa said: “I am proud to be the borough commander in Haringey in this time of change. I am committed to continue ensuring my officers and staff make Haringey an even safer Borough.”
