A community group have successfully bought their local pub after a huge campaign.
The Antwerp Arms, in Church Street, Tottenham, has been the long-time target of a campaign by members of the Antwerp Arms Association to take ownership, and following a grant by the Social Investment Business, it has now had an offer accepted.
The pub was bought by developer Hinterwill Ltd, who wanted to turn the building into flats, but after an uproar the firm agreed to sell it back to the customers.
The association tweeted their news:
