A campaign group is inviting people to a public meeting to hear about its alternative plans for a historic building.

The Wards Corner Coalition will be holding the exhibition on Saturday October 4, from 2pm to 6pm at the market, which is close to Seven Sisters underground station.

Earlier this year the group was granted planning permission by Haringey Borough Council for its alternative proposals to renovate the market building.

However, the site is set to be redeveloped under different proposals by contractor Grainger which include the building of new homes, market hall and retail space.

The meeting on Saturday will include a display of the group's alternative plans for the site and about the work of the WCC’s development trust.

On the day there will also be a pop-up bike repair shop, art exhibition and music performances throughout the day.
